LED Head Torch

Sorry can't remember the make of this headtorch but that doesnt matter so much with this review because the reason i'm doing this is to tell you why I think L.E.D. torches are crap for fishing.

I use torches at work , I have 3 , 1 maglite , 1 large muti L.E.D Torch and 1 small L.E.D. torch , the LED's totally own the std maglite when it comes to my job for lighting up a confined area where I need to see , so we come to the fishing and I find the L.E.D. completely useless as no matter which I try they just don't send a proper beam of light so you can pinpoint a particular spot like playing a fish in the margin or fishing at range and wanting to see where your line is pointing for an idea of what the fish is doing and what direction its taking.

My old £4.99 std bulb 2xAA headtorch(ASDA special) does this job perfectly , so after trying out 3 different and progressively more expensive L.E.D. headtorches I find myself dusting off my trusty old one that has tape holding it together , I guess I'll just have to get used to changing the batteries all the time again.

So in conclusion L.E.D. great for battery life and lighting confined areas , Sh*te for fishing ;p
